Guidelines and Rules

In order to guarantee your room reservation, it is essential that the 50% down payment is paid and confirmed within 48 hours. This confirmation must be made by sending proof of payment. Otherwise, the reservation will be automatically canceled after midnight on the day the pre-booking expires.

The deposit must be identified, preferably with the CPF, and sent by email or WhatsApp to the following number: +55 (91) 991522468.

Casa Marajoara accommodation contract rules

Check-in / check-out

(1) You must present an official, original photo ID in good condition. This document will be scanned and registered during the room booking process

2. At the time of check-in, payment must be made in full, regardless of whether it is in a single installment or not, and can be made by credit or debit card, pix or local currency. Daily rate renewals will only be made with advance payment.

3. Due to the arrival times of the speedboats, check-in is available from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. If you wish to use the room before this time, you must make prior inquiries and obtain authorization. Guests arriving 5 hours or more before check-in time may be charged half a night (127.50 reais)

4. Due to the departure time of the speedboats, check-out time is from 07:00 to 09:00. If you wish to extend this time or the check-out date, you must consult the owner of Casa Marajoara in advance to check availability. For late check-out until midday, a fee of 70 reais will be charged, after which time 50% of the daily rate will be charged. After 3pm, the full daily rate will be charged.

5. If guests need to leave on the day of their check-out without returning before 11am, they must inform the hostel or leave their belongings at reception. Otherwise, the Hostel will have full discretion to move the belongings from the room or charge for late check-out.

6. In the event of withdrawal from the stay on arrival or after check-in at the Hostel, as well as in the event of early departure for any reason, no refund, cash refund or credit for new nights will be granted. This will result in the total loss of the amount paid for the package or daily rate.

Obligations of Guests in Rooms and Shared Spaces

1. Guests should keep their belongings organized at all times, avoiding leaving them scattered around the room or thrown on other beds.

2. It is strictly forbidden to have intimate relations in the common areas and shared rooms.

3. During quiet hours, or when other guests are resting/sleeping, guests should avoid talking, listening to music, talking on the phone or making any voluntary noise in the shared rooms. Note: Snoring is not considered voluntary noise.

4. The consumption of food and drink in shared rooms is forbidden, except in triple rooms.

Damage and non-compliance with the rules

1. In the event of damage to Casa Marajoara's equipment and/or structure, guests are responsible for paying for the damage immediately.

2. Damage to bed and bath linen will result in a charge of R$70.00 per item (sheets, pillowcases, towels, covers and pillows). In the case of comforters, blankets and quilts, the amount will be R$200.00.

3. If the key to the room and access to the main door is lost or misplaced, the guest will be charged R$30.00 per key to replace it.

4. Casa Marajoara reserves the right to ask guests with bad behavior to leave the establishment. Inappropriate behavior includes, but is not limited to: drunkenness, rude attitudes towards staff or other guests, disrespect for the Hostel's rules, aggressive behavior, and damage to Casa Marajoara's equipment.

5. Casa Marajoara is not responsible for cases of non-fulfilment or inadequate fulfilment of the reservation due to events of force majeure, actions of third parties, actions of the client or its partners, such as lack of availability of the Internet network, basic services such as electricity, inaccessibility of the site, external invasions, computer viruses, or cases of prior payment not authorized by the payer's bank.

6. It is strictly forbidden

a) Smoking inside Casa Marajoara;

b) Hanging clothes or towels on the windows;

c) Moving around Casa Marajoara in inappropriate clothing, such as wearing only a towel, underwear, no shirt, or similar;

d) Carrying and/or using any type of legally prohibited object or substance or any type of weapon;

e) Drinking too much alcohol or being intoxicated in the shared spaces.

7. Visitors are not allowed and guests should not open the front door to strangers.

8. Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 07:00, during which time it is forbidden to play games, listen to music or talk loudly. From 23:00, there must be total silence in Casa Marajoara.

9. All sockets are 110 Volts / 60 Hertz, in accordance with the Brazilian socket standard (NBR 14136). Casa Marajoara is not responsible for damage to equipment incompatible with this standard.

10. If there are children and/or adolescents, it is necessary to present valid original documents of the child and/or adolescent, as well as a responsible adult. In accordance with the Statute of the Child and Adolescent, it is forbidden for a child or adolescent to stay at the Lodge without parental authorization or accompaniment.

11. Objects found at Casa Marajoara will be kept for up to 30 days (excluding underwear and toiletries found in the shared bathrooms). After this period, if they have not been looked for, the object will be given the most convenient destination, at Casa Marajoara's discretion. Items will be sent upon payment of shipping fees in advance.

12. For triple suites booked, guests will receive a room key, which must be returned upon check-out.

13. It is the guest's responsibility to check that the main door has been properly closed after leaving and/or entering.

14. The camera system will remain on 24 hours recording in the communal areas, and all guests grant Casa Marajoara all image rights.

15. Casa Marajoara offers a free wi-fi internet service for normal use, and it is forbidden to use it in any way contrary to Brazilian law.

16. We ask for everyone's cooperation in making the best use of the planet's resources, avoiding leaving equipment or lights on unnecessarily, using water conscientiously, avoiding waste and using garbage cans properly.

Reservation, Cancellation and No Show Policy

A reservation can only be confirmed once the deposit has been paid within the time limit set by Casa Marajoara. Any reservation commitment at Casa Marajoara is subject to the conditions stipulated here, and making a reservation implies acknowledgment and acceptance of these rules. Advance reservations represent a commitment between both parties, and any breach will result in a fine for reimbursement of the other party. The rules and compensation amounts specified below apply to cancellations by both the hostel and the guest.

1. Cancellation policy for direct bookings with Casa Marajoara: Cancellations of bookings for couples / three or four people will be accepted up to 7 days from the date of booking, with a full of 70% of the amount paid. After this period, there will be no refund of the amount paid for the reservation.

2. Reservations with promotional rates (discount coupons) made directly with Casa Marajoara: NON-REFUNDABLE IF WITHDRAWAL OCCURS AFTER 7 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF PAYMENT OF THE DEPOSIT OR THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF THE STAY. BEFORE 7 DAYS THE GUEST WILL BE ENTITLED TO 70% OF THE AMOUNT PAID.

3. Withdrawals on arrival or after check-in, as well as early departures for any reason, WILL NOT GIVE RIGHT TO ANY TYPE OF REFUND, REFUND IN CASH OR CREDIT FOR NEW DAYS, resulting in the total loss of the amount paid for the package or daily rate.
